CPL SCHOLARS

What is Expected of CPL Scholars:

As a CPL Scholar, we expect you to:
 

  1. Uphold the Values of Climb Pause Lift: Consistently strive for excellence in your personal, academic, and professional pursuits, while remembering to pause and lift those around you.

  2. Community Engagement: Participate in ongoing community events, networking opportunities, and initiatives designed to foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

  3. Serve as an Ambassador: Represent the CPL Scholars program both within your local community and beyond, demonstrating the impact that such a supportive, forward-thinking initiative can have.

  4. Mentor Future Scholars: After completing your own journey, pay it forward by mentoring incoming CPL Scholars, sharing your experiences, and guiding them through their challenges.

Gracie Bolick

Gracie Bolick, from Black Mountain, North Carolina, is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Sport Administration. A captain of the UNC Track and Field team, she ranks among the program’s top ten all-time in the hammer and weight throw and is a multi-year All-ACC Academic honoree.

Beyond athletics, Gracie has gained professional experience through internships with Gould Killian CPA and Morgan Stanley. After graduation she will join Morgan Stanley full time as a Wealth Management Rotational Analyst. Gracie is also committed to service through her fellowship with Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit that pairs children facing serious illness or disabilities with college athletic teams. In her role, she helps coordinate events with UNC athletes and community partners while raising awareness for the nonprofit. 

As a Climb Pause Lift Scholar, Gracie works to support and inspire others through her interests in athletics, business, and community service. Her long-term goal is to build a career as a financial advisor in the global sports and entertainment space.

Avery Wissmar

Avery Wissmar graduated with Honors Distinction from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, earning a double major in Operations & Analytics and Finance. She supported MBA faculty research in behavioral finance and completed a Senior Honors Thesis.

 

A three-time NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and Captain of the Varsity Softball Team, Avery leads with a strong commitment to service and empowerment. She has volunteered with the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy After School Program and served in the Cooper Athletics Leadership Program as a Peer Ambassador and Group Leader for New Student-Athlete Orientation.

 

After a 10-month internship with the Capitol Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley, Avery joined Morgan Stanley’s Fox, Penberthy & Dehn Wealth Management Team in Mt. Laurel, NJ, one of the firm’s highly regarded practices serving high-net-worth clients. As a Climb Pause Lift Scholar and now alumna, she is grateful for the Foundation’s mentorship and is honored to continue her involvement as an ambassador.

Noelle DeMarinis

Noelle DeMarinis graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Economics and Statistics and is a Climb Pause Lift Scholar.

She served as a Captain of the Varsity Lacrosse team and held leadership roles as Co-President and Ivy League Representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Noelle also contributed to Columbia’s New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) as an Orientation Leader, Crew Captain, and Committee Member, and was active with the Columbia Athletics Finance Society, the Delta Gamma Columbia Chapter, and Team IMPACT.

After completing a Wealth Management Summer Analyst internship at Morgan Stanley in 2024, Noelle began her career at the Firm as a full-time Wealth Management Rotational Analyst. She is deeply grateful for the mentorship and support provided by the Climb Pause Lift Foundation.
